One Month Closer to Spring!
Winter in Wisconsin — some days it is beautiful and some day it is brutal! Life, in general, has its good days and bad days. Brutal days leave room for improvement, but good days can be better too!
Here at Caring Hands, we recgonize that there is always room for improvement. As I mentioned last month, we are workign on our Residenta Satisfaction Survey. We would like to know your thoughts on what we are doing well and where we can improve, as well as suggestions for services or activities or menu items, etc. We will be distributing the survey around early February and are asking for feedback from resients and their families by February 20th.
We have been recently informed that our lab services provider, Quality Lab Solutions, has increased their rate beginning in January 2026, from $27 per draw to $28. They have also added a transportation fee of $15 per draw. This is due to Ascension Medical Center in Chilton no longer processing the lab work and they are required to take it to Ascension St. Elizabeth’s in Appleton for processing. We will continue to add these charges to your monthly billing statement as we receive the invoices from Quality Lab.
Remember, now that were are through January, we are another month closer to springtime!! It will be here before we know it!

Quilt of Honor Donated to Caring Hands
Diane Schuh and Brenda St. Pierre pictured here with Jennifer Zupke, Administrator and Mary Dietz, RN, donated a beautiful Honor Quilt in loving memory of their mother, Audrey Schneider, a former resident of Caring Hands. An honor quilt will be used to honor a resident on their last journey from Caing Hands escorted by staff to honor them in death as we have in life.
Monthly Reminders
If you have a special dietary meal request and cannot eat the meal on the menu, please notify the kitchen at least one hour in advance so your meal can be prepared on time.
