Spring is Coming…or is it?
With the recent warm weather, I know I am getting excited for spring! I think Mother Nature likes to tease us at this time of year though, because I think we are also expecting snow again soon. It is Wisconsin, after all!
We are anticipating a few changes here at Caring Hands this spring as well. Our biggest change comes from comments and suggestions from our residents and families. We would like to implement a new Resident Council procedure. We will be scheduling our Resident Council meetings monthly as they have been, but the format will be different. The residents will elect a council president and vice president, but there will be one staff member on hand to take minutes. We are hoping to encourage as many residents as possible to attend so that their voices are heard, and they will feel comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns. We will begin this new format in March.
We are also spending some time with the residents over the next few weeks to better understand their preferences for meals. In an interview-type style, we will be asking likes and dislikes, as well as favorite meals, or something they would like to see. We hope to be adding to our menu to provide some new and exciting features.
Welcome to March – coming in like a lion or a lamb – we shall see!

Caring Hands to Observe The Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross originated during the time of Jesus Christ. It traces the steps of his crucifixion from him being condemned to death, dying on the cross, and rising on Easter. Ther are fifteen stations along the way. The Stations exemplify the love the Jesus had for us as he ultimately died to save us from our sins. Here at Caring Hands the Stations will be prayed on March 5, March 19 and Good Friday, April 3 at 10:00 am. Come join us! Booklets are provided to follow along. Stations will be lead by Mary Spaeth.
