Caring Hands is Blooming!

April showers bring May flowers! And things are starting to bloom here at Caring Hands! Many thanks to Sharon and Tom and the hard work they put in keeping the flower beds looking beautiful. They carefully tend to the plants to ensure they continue to bloom and bring joy to all who see them.

The same is true with our staff here. We tend to our staff by continuing to teach them to provide the highest quality of care for our residents and families. One way in which we ensure we have quality staff starts with our Youth Apprenticeship Program participation. Earlier in April, we were awarded the Youth Apprenticeship Career Pathway Excellence Award which honors companies that provide outstanding support and offer diverse, hands-on experiences for students. Recipients demonstrate strong mentorship, community impact, and successful outcomes, preparing students for meaningful careers. We are very proud to partner with New Holstein High School, training and employing their students, and providing them with an important first exposure to long-term care. This years’ youth apprentices are Emma Manderscheid, Kourtney Karls, and Addison Haensgen. We are on track to have 5 students start with us over the summer!

We are fortunate enough to have Ascension at Home providing a social hour and Steve Keyes Music on Wednesday, May 19th at 2:00pm. Please join us for snacks and entertainment!

Enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and flowers. Happy Mother’s Day to all our Mothers – they are truly our most beautiful flowers!
